Photographer’s Note
High Pericongo
---------------
Dear friends, I pause in the presentations was doing on the Desert of the Tatacoa to dwell on display a beautiful natural scenery.
Leaving the city of Neiva to the south, between the municipalities of Timaná and Altamira, on a high from the road, you can see this landscape. The Magdalena River is seen in this beginning of their journey, with little flow, given that not far from there, presents his birth.
This site was sadly in our history, as the point from where the Cacica Gaitana at the time of the spanish conquest, was launched in vacuum, disillusioned by the avatars that gave life: the murder of her son Timanco at the hands of Peter of Añasco, and the loss of the battles in front of it organized by the conquerors.
The place is stunning to the naked eye and cause some dizziness by the altitude, because that is a short stroll from 400 meters up to 1,700 meters above sea level.
Amicably, John

Hello John,
very good composition revealing the picturesque view; I like the slight curves of the river which disappears somewhere far in the distance, among the hazy banks and valleys. the bright green leaves on the right in the FG enliven the picture even more (that helps in this case, with no direct sunshine). The water looks perfect! :)
Maybe the image is a bit oversharpened (but that's only my humble opinion), but in any case it's very pleasant!
Best regards,
Elena

Hi John!
I like the photograph for its colors (natural and nice), the vertical format that's very adequate to show the river as it goes through the hilly landscape, excellent sharpness!
Another good presentation of Colombia to all of us!
TFS - Congrats!
Warmest regards,

Linda composicion 's' o serpiente;
mostrar modernos paisajes urbanos?
Saluditos desde este cálido y húmedo Miami!

Hola John,
