Photographer’s Note
this is a kid i saw whilst travelling on a very muddy road between San Augustin and Popayan in Southern Colombia, whilst stopping for a breakfast stop. It was no later than 7.30am. His surrounfings were rather drab, whilst he was very colorful especially with that hat of his....
Of course the photo was in colour, and i only kept him, then made his surroundings a bit darker than what they were and added a bit of contrast.
I'm slowly learning to use photoshop, mainly thanks to you people, so pls let me know what you think!

Hi Oshry,
I like the way you handled the subject. Bring out the main subject in color and b&w for his area. While his enviorment may not the best – by our standards – he and the clothes are clean and looks Well LOVED!
Excellent shot – like the chickens!!
thank youPeggi

Yo Oshry!
It was a nice idea to separate the child and the surrounds. In doing this it really stands out what the subject of interest is, while leaving the background in B & W we get this feeling of authenticity and perhaps desolate upbringings. It's a really nice composition also, doing well to have the child centred while this whole scene of daily life explodes over his head and into the distance. I also like the chickens...!
