Cry The Guaduales
------------------
The guadua is one of the 1,250 bamboo species that exist in the world, and one of the most remarkable for its physical characteristics and mechanical, by its resistance to attack by insects decay, and by the wide range of applications that give in our country, never matched by other bamboos of Asia, where it could be said that there is a bamboo for each application.

The following are the requirements ideal climate and soil for the cultivation of guadua:

Temperature: The optimal range is between 20 ° C and 26 ° C.

Altitude: In Colombia guadua to grow between 0 and 2,000 meters above sea level, but the optimum is reached between 900 and 1600 meters above sea level.

Rainfall: The best stands are in the range between 1,800 mm and 2,500 mm annually.

Relative humidity: The ideal range is between 75% and 85%.

Brightness Lot: brightness for excellent development of guadua should be between 1800 and 2000 hours light year (approximately 5 to 6 hours light day).

Generally, guaduales found in compact form and isolated spots forming almost pure, but are also part of the strata subdominants of tropical rain forest.

In a mature guadua 18 meters are available from the following classes of material with its possible levels of use:

From 0 to 4 meters, the strain used to poles or pulp.

From 4 to 12 metres from where the Basa is generally mat for housing.

From 12 to 18 metres, the sobrebasa and varillón that can be used as fuel for tacos for construction, support for roofs and guardians to agricultural crops such as tomatoes.

The guaduas dry serve as firewood.

Hello John,

I have always liked bamboo, but unfortunately in Queensland's warm climate it grows very rapidly and is considered a major weed. There is no doubting its attractiveness and usefulness, the segmented wood is perfect for lightweight or temporary construction. This scene is wonderful, looking down along this inviting, fast moving waterway. Despite the likelihood of it occurring, with all the crossing over leaves and branches, there is no noise to distort the image. Wonderful effort.

Matt

John,
Another beautiful and serene bamboo forest along this refreshing stream. Reminded me of my childhood home in Southeast Asia. Great details and sharpness, color and light well balance with right amount of saturation and contrast. Composition is nice with the stream lead us into the forest. Thanks so much.

Hola John,

Gracias John.

Hello, John,
this is such a beautiful scene and your note is excellent. I love the differing shades of green and the way they get lighter further into the shot. The curving waterway leads in beautifully and gives it very nice depth. It is much like a lovely painting. Very nicely seen and captured. Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly

Hi John, what a great scene of this bamboo forest, with the stream. It is very peaceful looking up here. The light is fantastic with great colour. The composition with the meandering stream works very well, and your bamboo show us with great sharp clarity. Finally, your note was excellent. I learned something in this post of yours today.

Thanks, John

Hola John,

Felicitaciones.
Abrazos.
