Dear friends TE, leave aside for the moment the social theme, and once again the pictures of landscaping.

River La Vieja
--------------
An Old One On "The Old One"

The river "La Vieja" (The Old) one is one of the main tributary rivers of the Cauca River, although it is considered that it has own river basin. Located in jurisdiction of the Departments of the Quindío, Risaralda and Valle.

One forms by the confluence of the rivers Quindío and Barragán that are born in spurs of the Volcano of the Quindío in Salento (to more than 4,000 meters on the level of the sea). It has a hydrographic length of 750 kilometers.

The shores are covered with arboreal vegetation of shrubs and, with predominance of guadua (angustifolia) and grass kikuyo (poaceae) for the cattle and its affluents dominated by sand beaches.

The substrate is structured by sand, stone and in some sites material organic disturbed, this in the low part of the river, starts off in which pH average in the year is of 6.5

The river the Old one is part of its route in the Coffee Axis, that is one of the regions of greater seismic threat in Colombia and has been affected by diverse earthquakes, with magnitudes superior to 6,0 in the scale of Ritcher

The aspect most important to treat, is the worrisome degree of contamination and sedimentation of this river in all its passage, but coverall in its opening to the Cauca river, there since the municipality of Carthage provides the last negative impact when spilling its residual waters.

Hey John,

Nice natural scenery, and you`ve done it justice. Fine composition, I like the tree that gives a sense of the foreground, the river itself produces an inviting symmetry. The clarity and colors are also very good. Thanks for sharing.

Enjoy.

Hello John,
A very nice landscape. The composition using the curve of the river is very clever and the natural framing with the shape of the tree os well done.
Have a nice evening.

beautiful landscape shot with excellent composition, John, I like a lot how you used the tree and the bushes to create a natural frame, while the river nicely leads the eye towards the distant mountains. superb light management too, there are very good details in both shadows and in what seems to be a harsh midday sun. very good work, my compliments.
best,
Kristine

Buen trabajo John!!

Un abrazo, Jordi

wonderful pov adds great depth to the shot. the river banks lead the eye to the distant mountainscape. superb work

Hi John,

Beautiful photograph due to the excellent conditions of light here, I like much this framing vegetable in the half-light. This river gives a good depth to the image. The natural colors are very pleasant. Beautiful exotic photograph and thank you for the interesting note.

With all my friendships and with soon,

Hola John,
Saludos,
Iris

Hello, John,
now this is wonderful!! PERFECT framing, great view and depth, the light and color are beautiful. What I find exceptionally nice is the way the darker framing in the foreground curve and make like an oval frame and the river is a marvelous lead in. Great shot!! Many thanks and warm regards,
Shelly

Hola john

buen trababajo

saludos.

Hi John,
I think it has something to do with the framing that makes this work, somewhat comforting. It's the shade offered by the tree that makes looking at the Old One, a quieting moment. It's always best to shoot with one's heart or one's feeling about the scene and this is a good example.

Thank you John

Rabani

Hi John,
Very good landscape photo. The perspective of the river is excellent, the light is pleasant and I find the inclusion of the trees in the foreground great for a nice natural framing. Very good work!

Hola John,
Josep
