Metallic Bridge

I considered long time in exposing this photo in Trekearth, the truth, not because.

From my modest point of view, I wanted at its moment, more than to emphasize the metallic structure of the bridge as a true engineer installation, to emphasize the depth of field towards cultures of sugar and maize.

It does very many years, through this bridge on the river La Vieja one, passed trains towards diverse destinies. As a result of the disappearance of this means of transport in Colombia, this work was prepared for the pedestrian crossing.

I hope is to the the liking of all.

Oh, you have such great symmetry with those lines and angles. I love that POV. It won't let go. Great contrasting colors of yellow and gray and that beautiful blue sky to cap it off.. This is better than it needs to be. Beautiful shot!! Best wishes,

John, desde mi punto de vista la estructura metalica es interasante por si sola. Creo que lo que haria esta foto unica es la calidad de la luz con que captes la estructura metalica. Me explico, puedes fotografiar al atardecer? al amanecer? dia lluvioso? neblina? de esa manera le das atmosfera a la imagen.

Espero que te sea util el consejo. Gracias por tus palabras en mi galeria.

Great picture, it reminds me of the ones taken from the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC. This one is probably nicer than those, because depth and because of the lively structure of the steel (i'm a steeltrader by the way...). TFS

Hola John,

Sin duda una composición muy equilibrada donde la simetría es perfecta, me gusta como has colocado la estructura del puente y su formato vertical, la profundidad es excelente y guía la mirada hasta el final de la escena, a simple vista puede parecer una imagen sencilla, sin nada extraordinario, pero si la miras detenidamente puedes sentir que su perfección es lo que atrae la atención, al menos la mía, simplemente me gusta. felicidades.

Hola John,

Ya veo que has entrado en un periodo bastante productivo y me alegro porque de verdad disfruto viendo tus fotos de Colombia. En esta me encanta la impresionante estructura metálica del puente y la perspectiva que le daste. La inclusión de gente nos permite ver el tamaño real del puente. Buena profundidad aunque creo que una apertura más pequeña habría aumentado su calidad.

Hello John -

This is a very fine image. What I like about the composition is the symmetry and the perfect situation for a center composition. I also like how the path leads you into the image so that you can explore the symmetry in the background. Exposure appears to spot on, DOF is appropriate with ample sharpness. Well done!

Me gusta mucho esta foto, la captaste muy bien incluyendo las personas al final del puente peatonal, tu POV es muy bueno y los colores y definicion estan estupendos.

Me encanta la simetría de la fotografía esta. Además, el amarillo de la valla contrapuesto al frio metal del puente destaca bien y rompe un poco la composición.

Hello John,

I posted a similar photo of the Bridge on the River Kwai in Thailand. I chose to use black & white scheme to give it a more metallic/rustic feel. Perhaps that would also look good here, but it is fine as it is.

The people at the other end of the bridge show that it quite a large and elaborate structure. The surroundings looks rich and colourful, a beautiful natural landscape. TFS!

Hola John,
pues has conseguido un magnífico efecto geométrico con la estructura metálica del puente y su via para peatones, con las barandillas amarillas, que nos conducen la mirada hasta muy lejos en el bello paisaje de campos del fondo de la imagen.
La perspectiva es espectacular, el encuadre vertical da una buena simetría de los elementos, y la luz y las sombras funcionan muy bien.
¿Qué más se puede pedir a una composición fotográfica?
