I Adored Hermitage

One of the most representative symbols of the city of Cali church is the Hermitage River, a beautiful building in Gothic style, sublime.

Of great significance for devotees caleños, as though an earthquake destroyed it in 1925, was rebuilt and the only surviving piece of ancient construction, the figure of the Lord of the Cane, rests on a marble altar and is visited by many believers believe that the miraculous.

This church brings me very nice memories every time I have chance to go to the city of Cali, and step on his forehead. Given the proximity of where we lived, my mother used to take me to church every Sunday at 6 pm, therefore I know every corner of this site.

The photo was taken from the bridge Spain under a sky threatening rain, was presented as clearly minutes later. The bridge can be seen in the foreground, is called the Bridge Ortiz, and the river that runs through what is the Rio Cali.

I hope it is agreeable to all.

Hello John,
The church with its intricate details seems protected by the trees you have used to frame the picture. Colors are clear and details sharp. Your note is informative and I think by adding a sentence about your mother taking your to church there adds special touch. Very nice work.

Hello John,
beautiful image in which every detail is clearly seen! the sky really looks threatening, especially that it is emphasized by the white-greyish church in the background. I like the mood of the photo!
Very good perspective showing all the beauty of the place. Nice green colour of the tree on the left, with bits of brown-reddish colour.

This is a well composed shot! The river leads the eye into the scene nicely. The dark sky provides a nice backdrop for the white tower and ironwork. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The bridge in the foreground provides a nice lower border for the scene.

Sin duda adorable, recuerda una ilustración de libro de cuentos. Me imagino que eso viene de la arquitectura de la iglesia, pero creo que la luz muy especial y el encuadramiento ayudan mucho ese efecto. Una bella foto, muy lograda.

QUe mas pues?
Muy linda la foto-- sobretodo
por la composicion al incluir el rio y el
puente. Sin embargo, me molesta ver
como en Cali, al igual que en muchos
lugares no hay consciencia para mantener
los rios y caudales libres de basura.

Esa iglesia en Cali es preciosa. Por algo es uno de los lugares mas fotografeados de
la ciudad.
No se si en la noche la iluminan, porque si fuera asi, seria divino tomarle una foto
en la "hora azul".

Hola John,
a pesar del cielo a punto de descargar la tormenta, y de la luz débil que había en el ambiente, has conseguido una buena exposición y una buena calidad de imagen y de colores, con una luminosidad realmente especial y atractiva.
El encuadre me gusta, has situado la iglesia y su esbelto campanario entre el verde de los árboles, mientras el puente y el río complementan una composición elegante y efectiva.

Hello John.
Yes, this picture is very agreeable.
It reminds me of the autobiography of G. G. Marquez, because you would write about this place in your own autobiography. The church is beautiful. The white of the church tower and the bridge stand out very well against the dark sky. Great position to take this shot, giving us that tree on the left with its brown seed pods, and the white and brown of the water. The trees make a great frame for the church. Very good shot, John.

A great view over the river towards the church, which is well placed a little off-centred. The bridge is also very well included in the foreground. The dark blue sky is a great background and the photo is well framed by the trees on both sides. Sharpness is great too. Thanks for sharing!

Antes de votar tu última foto, no he querido pasar por alto esta.
Me parece una toma preciosa con "tu adorada ermita", que tiene una bella arquitectura en lo que se ve, con esos árboles enmarcándola y ese bonito puente.
Un encuadre coqueto y magnífico al que se une el cielo, que si hubiera estado azul, no hubiera quedado mejor. Bravo amigo mío!

You're right, this church seems really beautiful. I like this composition with the bridge in foreground, it has very nice and unusual details. Then, the top of the church with that dark sky as a background is really very good. I like this atmosphere!

Una bonita composición.
Sería perfecta con un poco más luz, pero por desgracia no se puede eligir el tiempo ;-)
Sin embargo el contraste de la torre de la igelsia sobre el ciel oscuro es muy eficaz.
La torre parece hecha con encaje.
