Photographer’s Note
"The Trumpeter"
....................................................
Dear friends, fraternal greetings.
Again I am faced with this work of art in the city of Ibague. This sculpture had already been captured by my lens in a previous release, known under the title Musician
¿Do remember? maybe.
On this occasion, traveling again saturday morning at the Music Park, an attractive place dedicated to the city known as the Musical Capital of Colombia, I wanted to experience a shot against a light, taking advantage of the beautiful and defined silhouette that renders the statue of trumpeter.
The sun was strong and I had it in front. The drops of water that spring from the jet close to the source, gently dot the atmosphere, and I wanted to take advantage of that strange sensation that occur when you get in touch with the rays of light.
For the experiment, since little attempt to carry out this kind of shots, I think the work has been very successful in terms of results. ¿Do you believe that?
Sincerely appreciate your comments.
John

Hi John,
I think you could call this a successful experiment! The contrasts between the solid black statue and the perfectly exposed background is nice, and the centrally positioned statue in the composition works well as the background is not too interesting. The high shutter speed has also completely frozen the water from the fountain in time. A nice shot, thanks for sharing

Hello John,
indeed, a successful experiment which resulted in a refreshing, original image! I like the dark silhouette of the musician against the sun, surrounded by crisp splashes & drops of water from the fountain! The 1/6000 did its job perfectly ;)
best regards,
Elena

Hello John, it is difficult to make pass a feeling, or an impression through a photograph, this work d' art is ideally development here, the expression body, details it scenic hands arises ideally because of camera angle and of the dancing waters which mix with the light, sincerely ...............

Has hecho un buen trabajo, sigue experimentando, amigo mío.
Un abrazo,
Josep

Hello John,
Good pov to obtain fantastic effect, water just like surrounding the statue and spreading out from the musical instrument, good sharpness and clear to show dripping water, good exposure and lighting facing to lighting source and make the statue in silhouette, good shoot.
