In Open Field

Returning from the Municipality of Guamo (Tolima), endured a tough heat, with the wind against giving me in the face, with the satisfaction of ending a hard day's work everyday, I recreated mentally noting landscapes next door and side of the road.

I could not help but tell my companion to stop the motorcycle on which we came, and give me a space of time to grasp this simple image, which I am shocked by the appearance of the tree, and that appeared to observe what I observed: a magnificent countryside Clear, with an extraordinary vastness that is lost on the horizon, newly cultivated rice.

The light favored me greatly, and not miss.

Hello John,
it's a simple compo but it's so damn effective. Tree well placed off center, sorrounded by the green of the vegetation and standing so well against the blue sky..bright and vibrant colours..great sharpness..I like this one a lot.

Una composición muy clásica, la cual
a ti te quedó excelente. Este bello campo
abierto grita libertad. Como bien dices,
la luz si te favoreció bastante--tambien

Simply beauty the scenery at country side, very natural the color between greenery field and sunny blue sky, I like the posture of this lonely tree also, spreading clouds add extra effect, distinct image, well done.

La sencillez ni siempre es tan fácil de lograr como muchos creen! Aquí lo hiciste muy bien! Un árbol solitario en frente de una planicie verde sin fin... Muy bonita!
Aunque que cuasi pase desapercibido, se nota el tratamiento diferenciado que has echo en el cielo.

sencilla, fuerte y muy bella imagen. Bien compuesta, el protagonismo de este árbol da un excelente nivel estético y un buen contraste a la horizontalidad del paisaje y al bello cielo, con una magnífica luminosidad y perfectos colores.
Es una foto bien vista, bien analizada y bien realizada.

A stunning photo here of a wonderful landscape. Truly a beautiful shot...and you have described it so nicely..."an extraordinary vastness that is lost on the horizon." It is how I have often felt viewing spectacular landscapes here in the western US and in Canada...where the land stretches to the horizon. Just a trememdous shot.

Now that I started to use the smileys again I think I should manage them like the other green devils,the $$$,so they will not loose their value:)
Ok,I cannot give you a whole green smiley for the following reason: there are very obvious halos around the tree,result of your efforts to darken the sky a bit and lighten the tree,in the same time.
There are ways to do it without getting those halos,you know?
On the other hand,the composition and the light are great.
