Dear friends, continuing with the series of sculptures on related interpreters of musical instruments, established in the Musical Capital of Colombia, Ibague, I bring this takes for a bongosero, in the Caribbean slang relates to the person who plays the 'bong' , Inherited elements of African cultures, who arrived in these lands during the period of the slave colony.

I must say that this takes me has proved somewhat complicated to make, the clouds may have some exposure, in excess of light that appeared in the hours of noon, but the silhouette of the figure produced in forged iron, saves the whole perhaps making, given the contrast is given.

Me gusta esta también. Una vez más, me encanta la delicadeza de los 'movimientos' del Músico.
Si las nubes están un poco sobre exposados, pero consigues un bonito contraste que me gusta.

Hola compañero,

Bien, bien... veo que le has sacado probecho a Ibagué.
Dado que tu mismo en la nota nos comentas los pequeños matices de la toma, no entraré en detalles. De todos modos creo que merece la pena y mucho observarla con detenimiento. CReo que pese a la luz que tenías has realizado un excelente trabajo.

considering the difficult light you had, I think you have managed it very well, and in this particular case I don't really mind the overexposed clouds, I actually think that the bright light adds to the mood of the shot. I like a lot how you have composed the photo with the tree looking like an instrument in his hands. fine work, John, my compliments.

hello john

yo guys sure have some interesting sculptures in columbia. good pov for showing this one. i do not have a problem with the overexposure in the clouds, but i feel, i would have gone for more selective focus (wider aperture) on this one. otherwise, the visual effect is quite 'flattenting'.

Hola John,
siguiendo el orden de tus post, en esta buena serie escultórico-musical, hoy me paro en esta foto.
Tiene un punto de vista bajo que da mucha perspectiva y recorta a la estatua sobre el cielo y las nubes, mientras el árbol añade un buen efecto natural a la figura de hierro.
Cierto que la luz no era la idónea para una buena toma, pero yo creo que has salido airoso del reto, la exposición es correcta y tiene un buen equilibrio.
Gran serie, amigo mío.

Hola John,
Ese lugar es un autentico museo de escultura Al aire libre! La estatua es muy interesante y bella y el encuadramiento que hiciste resulta en una foto muy fuerte gráficamente. Es notable como la luz está tan bien lograda, a pesar de la situación difícil, con las nubes muy brillantes detrás y la estatua oscura.

Hola, John,
Me parece que esta toma, en el sentido de la musica, es el empezo del todo, pues, la musica, se ha empezado primer con el sonido de la percusión, esos han sido los primeros sonidos que el hombre ha sacado del medio adonde vivia. Me gustó la soledad de eso musico como si estuviese llamar personas para oirlo. Excelente trabajo, por lo cual sentimos mucha plasticidad. Un abrazo, Consuelo
