Friends of TE, my warmest greetings.

For a variety of activities, which have prevented me availability of time to visit and update my photos and comment on those of my colleagues, I have this again.

I entrance to a series of five (5) shots, through which I want to provide a simple and affectionate tribute to one of our cities, located in a central point of our national geography: the city of Ibague, capital of Tolima Department .

This city is now known as the MUSICAL CAPITAL OF COLOMBIA, given that throughout its history, has been architect of major events related to this art, of which many love.

Speaking of music, I was unable to shelve remember my TE - Friend Jordi (TRUJA), which like many, we live passionately for all minors who are in the stage arts, and even more if he participates actively it.

Jordi, I hope you enjoy this series ...!

Speaking of Tolima is talking about music, tradition and taste, speak of Ibague is to enter the heart of the recipes typical of taste grandmothers, and the wizard of good food.

For example, a stroll by the river canyon is found Combeima front with the temptation made meal. It enjoy a beautiful valley guarded by their sides for a magical green cord. Over time the capital treasured cultural activity, which allows you to display folk, artistic and musical authentically.

The name of Tolima has its root in the history of the Indian princess Yulima, martyred and executed by the Spanish conquistadors. Before the conquest, the region was populated by various tribes belonging to the families and Quimbaya and Caribbean, the best known is the Pijao tribe, who resisted the Spanish domination.

Tolima means "land of ice" or "land of the gods" is a debate that still remains unresolved.

¿gustarme?, como no amigo mio!
Para mi es un honor que cuando pensais o realizais una toma relacionada con la música os acordeis de los músicos que corremmos por aquí.
La foto esta fantástica, con una buena definición y un encuadre de lujo. Las notas pintadas en la pared del conservatorio parecen salir de la trompeta de la estatua, con lo que gana en dinamismo. La fuente parece bailar al tempo del músico. Luz y exposición de postal. Gran trabajo John!

¿Como esta usted? You are inviting us to Colombia with beautiful photos and scenes. Your POV is perfectly fixed with statue of musician and water jets at background. Yellow building of Conservatory of Music Alberto Castilla and slope of pool are best parts with wet ground textures too. Wonderful, congratulations.

me alegra volver a ver tus fotos y tus críticas. Tu nota para informar sobre la foto es magnífica, nos ilustra perfectamente sobre lo que nos muestras en tu foto. (Los españoles tenemos muchos motivos para avergonzarnos de nuestra historia "conquistadora").
Una foto muy bien encuadrada y con mucha fuerza gráfica, con una luz y unos tonos suaves, y donde la escultura se combina muy bien con los chorros del agua y la arquitectura que la rodea.
Un bello trabajo, que veo va a continuar.

La statua esta guay y bien situado en la marca. El edificio es bonito y apporta color. Me gusta las detalles del suelo en el primer plano.

Hi John,
Excellent photo of this wonderful sculpture of the musician. You placed him very well on the left hand side to create space on the other side for the fountain and colourful facade. Well seen and captured, thanks for sharing!

Olá John,
uma imagem tão interessante como a outra, um deltalhe que eu tentaria nessa imagem seria fechar o máximo o diafrgama, tipo uns f/10 para conseguir velocidades mais baixas e criar um bonito efeito na fonte, mas seria necessário um tripé também.

¿Cómo lo llevas?, veo que inicias una serie de imágenes con estatuas de músicos, es muy interesante, en esta has logrado un buen equilibrio a nivel compositivo, la posición del músico es la correcta, las diagonales que podemos encontrar en el trabajo ayudan a equilibrar el peso de la composición y facilita a la vista a recorrer la escena de una forma sencilla y suave.

Hola John, interesante y bonita imagen, del trompetista solitario acompañado del rumor de las fuentes que es otro tipo de música, me gusta el encuadre de la escultura a un lado dando espacio a la fuente y al edificio, buena luz y buen color, felicidades. Me ha gustado tu nota y la historia de la princesa Yulima.

Yo decidi a empezar por el inicio del todo. Visitar la primera de su serie que esta muy interesante y rica. Su nota esta impecable. Me gustó de esa composición bien manejada en sus colores y encuadre. Parece que el musico canta para el agua, como si fuera un regalo para eso. Bela presentación. Saludos cordiales, Consuelo
