Photographer’s Note

Looking out over the city of Bucaramanga from Ruitoque Mesa, two paragliders are flying high on the beautiful thermals. Or is it two eyes looking down?

Ruitoque is just a few minutes from the city, yet the air is cooler on the mesa and with the fresh breeze blowing up the slope, it is a great place to launch your paraglider. In the morning, Las Aguilas is the place to go. In the afternoon the wind at Vuelo Libre is better. This shot was taken at Vuelo Libre.

If you didn't bring your own wing, tandem flights are cheap in Bucaramanga and the local pilots can take you high.
