This picture could be seen as making an experimental basis.

From the third floor of the hotel where I was, in the warm city of Girardot, under a scorching sun, the balcony of the room was facing the pool.

The atmosphere was conducive to dive there. And the conditions were a strong light for a composition like this simple but striking number of elements by the shapes of the reflections of the water and the blue hue.

I liked watching as a kid playing with a rubber ball, and decided to establish an appropriate frame in a closed format.

I hope that is dear to all.

Colombia! A country far away from me but this is a nice pool view showing the sparkling reflection and the boy with a ball. Simplistic yet with a touch of graphic impression, especially viewed from above.

Interesting observation about the wave behind the boy where the lines break, as if he was swimming across very fast. Good placement in your composition.

Was he alone in the pool?

um espetáculo de minimalismo. São nessas horas que percebemos o senso fotográfico de quem está por trás da câmera. Enquadramento perfeito, brilho sem igual. Gosto de ver a textura da água e a legria do garoto de brinca com a bola. Muito bonita e bem executada!

This is a really successful experiment. The water creates such a beautiful pattern and the sunlight is also very nicely reflected. Great inclusion of the playing child in the upper left hand corner too.

Hola John,
muy buen encuadre cerrado y excelente contrapicado sobre esta escena tan dinámica y atractiva.
El azul dominante del agua que brilla bajo la luz del sol, y la pelota amarilla del muchacho que etá jugando tienen un perfecto juego cromático.
Las ondulaciones del agua me recuerdan el famoso "trencadís" de cerámica utilizado por Gaudí para sus decoraciones.
Muy bonita foto, fuerte y sencilla a la vez.

What beautiful clear blue water on a sparkling sunshiny day! The patterns created in the water are very pretty and interesting. This is a fun experiment with your camera. I wonder how the patterns in the water would change from a different POV. It is a very nice picture!

Me gustan los reflejos producidos en el agua y su color azul, el niño jugando con la pelota esta bien posicionado, tu experimento resulto magnifico. Buena iluminacion y definicion. Tu POV desde el tercer piso es estupendo, dan ganas de bañarse en esa linda agua de la piscina.

Es muy agradable mirar una imagen estival como esta en el medio del (nuestro) Invierno.
El niño quedó muy bien posicionado, y junto con el padrón echo por el agua y la luz hace la foto muy atrayente.

Bonjour,
belle photo de ce gamin qui joue seul dans l' eau avec ce ballon.
Jolies couleurs et bonne netteté, belle transparance de l' eau.
Cela fait du bien dans ces temps froid de voire ces endroit ou il fait bon et ou l' on peut se mettre a l' eau autre part que dans sa baignoire.

Something different from you, and a great success. I love the pattern of the water and the great positioning of the boy in the frame. So clear and sharp, too, with that fast shutter speed. The color of the water is simply beautiful and so inviting. It is great to see more shots from the warm places in this Christmas/new year period. Wonderful work - hecho bien.
