Photographer’s Note

Cartagena In Unsaturated

I must show that I am being too bold when exposing this work.

I have always considered that one of the most important things that it must exist within the art of the photography, aside from the knowledge,it is the technique (and that this one is only learned through the experience). But also it must exist that 'spark' of imagination and creativity, in wanting to make things different, that or they can be full of sub-realism, innovation, abstraction, etc. or in many other cases, observed from different perspective or angles.

Without being a professional in the matter, I have wanted to experience a little, knowing full well that which it develops can get to be a work without positive results. But at least, that I have left the satisfaction to try it and to learn.

Taking as it bases an old photo of one of the most beautiful cities of the continent, like certain works presented/displayed by colleagues here in TE, I have ventured myself to modify it through a tool important as it is the Photoshop, being used the option to UNSATURATE.

In a personal view I emphasize on this exhibition, patience and pulse that is due to have to be slowly delineating the subtlest details, small and which they are not appraised at first, that are desired to have in tone of grays, without affecting what it really wishes that excels in color.

Applying in smaller degree illumination to the zone of shades, I wanted to give much importance to the yellow of the architecture, since it is resisted remarkably on the dark tonalities.

I hope that it is to the the liking of all.
