Photographer’s Note

This picture shows the historic centre as well as much of the south of Santafé de Bogotá, the capital of Colombia! I took it from Cerro de Monserrate which forms the eastern border of the city! On the lower left you see the Candelaria, the beautiful old town, full of pituresque buildings. More to the right, where the higher buildings stand, is the business centre. Most people live in the north of the city which is not quite visible on this picture. Although using wide angle (10mm) it was not possible to catch the sheer size of this beautiful city!

Wow Robin ... You have done a very good photo here. I specifically like you imaginative point of view coming in from the hillside almost at dark cloud level. This is a crisp, well contrasted, colorful shot. You have also just the right amount of gamma (light) and it aids in seeing details and perspective. Great work. I am relatively new to TE. A very dramatic sky, ominous and dark, but still offering enough light to discover the sprawled out cityscape below it. Excellent work and good note!
