Photographer’s Note
It is the neighborhood with more history and tradition of the Colombian capital and which is a national monument since 1963.
The area is located east of the Plaza de Bolivar and since the sixteenth century, when the first buildings were erected, has retained its political, administrative and religious.
Its steep streets still retain the names that evoke centuries of Spanish colonization. Candelaria has a valuable architectural heritage, represented in old houses with a Spanish accent, with heavy gates, hallway, interior courtyards and large rooms whose walls have a wide variety of styles balconies and hardware on their doors and windows.
Today the buildings in the neighborhood are colleges, universities or homes, luxurious hotels like the Hotel La Opera, antique dealers, cafes and restaurants, government offices, classic and experimental theatres, museums, libraries and cultural centers.

Hi John,
Your image brings me memories!
It certainly is a beautiful part of the city.
Good game of perspectives. Colours a bit harsh on the eyes, particularly the sky.

Maria

If you don't put a header that this frame from Bogota then any one can easily imagine that this beautiful narrow alley from another countries like Turkey, Greece etc. I like splendid stone facades and textures with colorful facade at left and cobblestoned street. Excellent clarity in natural colors and sharpness as usual with your informative notes too. Congratulations. Have a nice weekend.

Hello John, this passage in this lane of Candelaria is well tallied, the frontages are exposed so that all detail them D `architecture comes out from it with force, as these loggias which exceed frontages, with framing emphasizing the slope of the slope that forms a very great prospect, a quite selected format for us to make some appreciate the maximum of details, sincerely ......................Bonjour John, ce passage dans cette ruelle de Candelaria est bien cadré, les façades sont exposées de façon à ce que tout les détailles d‘architecture en ressorte avec force, ainsi que ces loggias qui dépassent des façades, avec le cadrage faisant ressortir l’inclinaison de la pente cela forme une très grande perspective, un format bien choisi pour nous en faire apprécier le maximum de détails, bien amicalement

HAs capturado la arquitectura magnificamente.
Saludos
