The Place
This is Universidad de Chile Station of Line 1 of the Metro in Santiago.
The subway stations of this system are famous for including art, in the form of exhibitions, or murals, etc. There are some interesting links, one of them with an overview of the system here.
This station has a mural of the painter Mario Toral called Memoria visual de una nación. This mural has a surface of 1200 square meters.

Hola Jorge,

a última coisa que poderia imaginar esse ambiente ser, é de uma estação de metrô. Parece um lugar acomchegante, com essas pinturas nas paredes e a limpeza. Bela perspectiva temos na imagem e ótimo controle de luz. Uma excelente apresentação. Parabéns!

Gigantesque peinture murale dont on prend conscience de la taille seulement lorsque l'on descend les yeux et que l'on voit ces petits personnages - très bonne prise de vue - très beau rendu - très bel encadrement - c'est parfait à mes yeux - best regards

Great capture of the movement, and also great perspective giving depth to the place.
What did you use instead of a tripod from the spot you were standing?

Jorge,
I'm very impressed with this shot for several reasons. First, it shows that you already had a fantastic eye for outstanding composition almost 10 years ago. Second, the scanning process is perfect, no flaws here. Third, howing something from your own surroundings is great. Transcending from great pictures of places were you go for vacation and travel and having of daily life is difficult.

For a scan we see a very nice picture.
I like the speed of the metro train, this give a excellent composition together with the art around the walls.
Also the colours are very attractive.
