| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This one is taken in a combo tour in San Pedro de Atacama, visiting first Valley of the Dead, which consists of stunning, eroded desert landscape and then spending time at Valle de la Luna or the Moon Valley at sunset.
It is actually believed that the naming of the valley is based on misunderstanding as it was named by a foreigner who wanted to call it "Mars Valley" or "Valle de Martes" but turned out as "muertos" or "the dead". |

Hi Thrudur
Very intersting POV. I haven't seen it before. The colors are natural, well captured. But for the composition, it could have been better if you could have included a human figure to show the dimension of the landscape. It looks small, but it is actually quite big.

Woaa, that is a spectacular place. most unusual landscape and with that I mean the place (valle de la muerte). Was your photo taken out of an airplane? I agree with Jorge that it would be nice to have a sense of scale, but I like it the way it is as it seems to behold another planet! Something to note Thrudur is the horizon is slightly skew.
This is why I like TE so much, you get to see places that are alltogether different and unusual. Thanks
