Photographer’s Note
Atacama is the driest desert in the world. But still there's many cacti growing there. This foto was taken during a trip from Arica to Putre, as you get higher up there starts to be more cacti, like these in the picture, and when you're high enough the desert turns into the Altiplano.
Now, i have to apologize, i don't really know the species of the two cacti in the foto.
The foto has a slight problem, the sky is too noisy. And i don't have enough expertice to remove without losing detail on the cacti. Hope you like the foto anyway.

Hi Peter,
Stange cacti, they has a rare form. Maybe the branchs near mountains contour not helps very well the composition, but I consider a worth pic.
It`s a noisy sky, I think easy to remove.

Hi Peter
This scenery is quite impressive. I have seen a desert before but like this one, nice colors and good composition.

Hi Peter,
Beatyfull composition. I like the tree in the center even if goes against the 1/3 rule, in this shot works wondrfully to express the ideia of loneliness. The shape of the hill on the background complete the scene. Very good colors and contrast. The noise on the sky maybe due to the compression of the oicture to post.
Best Regards,
Flavia
