Photographer’s Note

Puerto Natales is the capital of the Province of Ultima Esperanza. The city was founded in 1911 on a gently sloping point on the inlet of Ultima Esperanza. With excellent tourism facilities, it has become the base for excursions to the Torres del Paine National Park, Bernardo O'Higgins National Park and the Cueva del Milodon (Milodon Cave).

Fantastic image. The brightness of the buildings and the blue of the mountains in the distance contrast beautifully with the sky and the sea. Great reflections too.

Hi Isabel! I like everything in this picture except the color which really looks fake to me, especially on the buildings. I believe that the atmosphere in this picture is a bit gloomy which doesn't match with the strong orange. Nicolas
