Volcan Tata Sabaya
La photo de ce jour a été tirée du même point de vue que la photo précédente. La seule différence technique est l'usage d'une focale de 300 mm au lieu de 35 mm (équivalent 24x36). Nous sommes ici au Chili, à 6 km de Colchane, ville située à la frontière Bolivienne. Le volcan Tata Sabaya (5430m), qui est le thème de cette photo, est situé en Bolivie en bordure du salar de Coipasa, le plus grand salar après celui de Uyuni. Bien que les morphologies d'écoulement de lave soient bien préservées sur le volcan, elles ne sont pas d'origines primitives, et il s'avère qu'il n'y a eu aucune activité depuis au moins plusieurs centaines d'années. Vous pouvez voir ce volcan vu à partir du salar de Coipasa en Bolivie, grâce à une photo présentée par Brigitte.

Tata Sabaya volcano
The photo of today was drawn from the same point of view as the prévious shot. The only technical difference is the use of 300 mm lens instead of 35 mm (24x36 equivalent). We are here in Chile, 6 km far from Colchane, village located at the Bolivian border. The Tata Sabaya volcano(5430m), which is the topic of this picture, is located in Bolivia in the edge of the Coipasa salar, the largest salt pan after the Uyuni salt pan. Although lava flow morphologies are well preserved on the volcano, they are not pristine, and it appears that there has been no activity within the last several hundred years at least. You can see this volcano seen starting from the salar of Coipasa in Bolivia, thanks to a photo presented by Brigitte.

L'utilisation du téléobjectif et parfaite ici et la montagne paraît immense! Super POV avec cette verdure au premier plan. Je sens que nous arrivons vers la fin de ton beau voyage sud-américain.

Awesome photo of this volcano. The air is so clear and the atmosphere allows for all the colors that are in the region to be clearly visible. The volcano is an awesome view, and one that demands respect, as you stated, it has not shown evidence of activity in the last several hundred years.
A desolate looking region, truly wild in its own way.

You really have seen a lot in one day! These cone shaped volcanoes attract by symmetry. Colour are beautiful as always. This time the foreground wakes my curiosity and I'd like to see more of it. Well, there was on yesterdays upload...

Bonjour Jean-Pierre,
un volcan très impressionnant, il jaillit vraiment de terre et a l'air d'être la seule altitude du coin.
J'aime ton cadrage avec des couleurs plus vertes à l'avant plan et ce cone un peu décentré.
Une netteté insolante.

Beau panorama avec ce volcan imposant, bon éclairage pour accentuer le relief des pentes du volcan et juste ce qu'il faut de végétation en premier plan pour donner une touche de couleur et faire encore plus remarquer que le lieu est désertique.

I guess there is no better way how to capture this amazing mountain. Excellent composition (I like its simplicity very much), great DoF, perfect light and colours. It was good idea to include wide foreground to show how magnificent the mountain is. Very well done!
