Photographer’s Note

This is a view of a typical Chiloe wooden church in the middle of the countryside on the islands northeastern coast.

Chiloe is famous for its old wooden churches as well as for its unique accent, culture and mythology. Traditionally Chilotes made a living from fishing. Currently aquaculture has become big through salmon aquafarms.

Belle image de Chiloe, j'aime bien ta composition avec cette route et ces vaches et la baie derrière avec l'église en bois... Me concernant, je n'ai pas accroché Chiloé, les gens étaient très froids et il n'a pas arreté de pleuvoir durant les quelques jours ou nous y etions!!!

Great balance here: the lonely walker and the cows create a fine balance in the compo, while the lack of any other people gives this shot a serenity and loneliness. A very dramatic POV overlooking this scene.

Salut Daniel,
Une jolie vue rurale et bucolique, ca a l'air d'une belle region. On ne voit pas trop les details de l'eglise sur cette vue, par contre la perspective avec le chemin est tres bonne, j'aime beaucoup aussi comment tu as inclus cette personne qui vient et contraste tres bien avec la couleur de la terre.

La verdad es que uno ve esta foto y se queda embobado por el paisaje, los colores, la composición o la sensación de tranquilidad que te da.

A really colourful countryside and there are so much interesting activities to see. The sky is very lovely with the long strips of clouds. You definately have chosen the best vantage point which is most effective in portraying this scene. The atmosphere is simply enticing. Brilliant shot!! Best regards.

Hola Daniel. muy buena vista. me gusta mucho el camimo largo y solo de la persona con la iglesia en el fondo y las vacas al lado. es una escena bien bonita... bien chilote.

Daniel, I lioke the way you use the natural lines of the street, the horizon and, even, the electrical lines to compose your image. It gives the eye a whole tour around the image. Well done!!!

Hi Daniel,
A well composed shot of this interesting scene. The road takes the eye nicely down into the frame and the church is well seen, contrasting with the greenery. The glimpse of the colourful boat provides a further object of interest. I might have cropped the telephone wires out, but they do not really detract. A very pleasing shot of the countryside.
