Photographer’s Note
The huaso, or Chilean cowboy, can be seen riding in and around Parque Nacional Torres del Paine. To cope with the cold of Patagonia some are so wrapped up in sheep's wool they almost look like Eskimos. This one rides with his dog towards the impressive Torres del Paine. Taken from the guard post at the main entrance to the park, handheld on maximum zoom with teleconverter attached.

Amzing picture of an amazing place. The contrast between green fields and snowy rock and the little haze that shows the depth. The cowboy does a lot to make the picture alive and give us a scale. And you placed him perfectly in the frame. Very well done!

Impressive, the way the grass end and the mountains arise is beautiful, almost like a filmstudio with the mountains projected on the wall.

Such an impressive scenery Bruce!
I keep looking at it like a scene of a movie I saw once... I like the space you gave to the hugeness of the background, light & cold.

Great picture, Bruce. I like how the perfectly placed cowboy and dog stand out on the sharp green grassland against the hazier background. Also, as they are seen from behind they are taking the viewer's eye nicely into your image. The snow-capped rocks in the background are amazing, and the fact that there is a little haze adds a lot of depth. Well done!

Very nice picture with the majestic mountain beyond. I find that the grassland is abit dull. I did an WS for you.

La composition est le cadrage sont parfaits.
Cependant la cellule a été légèrement influencée par la blancheur de la neige, ce qui est normal.
Le téléobjectif à aussi la faculté d'amplifier le voile atmosphérique sur les plans lointains.
Voir WS.
The composition and framing are perfect. However the cell was slightly influenced by the whiteness of snow, which is normal. The teleobjective with also faculty to amplify the atmospheric veil on the remote horizon.
See WS.

Like this picture very much, really shows the vast massive snowy mountains at the background, feels like it's near the edge of the cliff ! Too much grass though on the foreground.

Toute la patagonie représenté dans cette photographie. Le gaucho accompagné de son cheval et les tours du paine. Quel magnifique endroit, terre de liberté où l'on paraît bien petit.
