Valle de la luna, near San pedro de Atacama, Chile. The city itself is more of a Disneyland than a traditional village : it is the only city in Chile where they do not put asphalt on the road so that it looks "authentic".
Nevertheless, it is a fantastic place, and the best way to discover arounding places is bicycle (you can't rent motorbike so they can pack you in tour buses).
It is quite sporty (the place is 3000 meters above sea level), but this desert is magic. |
