| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Cabo de Hornos, Cape Horn, got its name after the city Hoorn in Holland. Two ships were sent from Hoorn to discover if there was another passage to Asia than south of Cape of Good Hope, Africa. One of the ship's name was Hoorn. It sank there, like so many other ships did at this dangerous place. All we saw was a very big tanker there, sailing in direction Buenos Aires, where we came from. We sailed in direction Valparaíso, Chile. |
