Photographer's Note

Toconao, a village with a population of less than 800 inhabitants, is an oasis in the midst of a desert region that, thanks to the purity of its waters, allows the cultivation of a variety of fruits, some native and others brought by the Spanish conquerors. The photo shows the main square of the city, with the Church of San Lucas in the background and the Bell Tower, both built in the 17th century.
