San Pedro de Atacama
Tiny San Pedro de Atacama (elevation 2440 m) is a foothills oasis village. It’s in the heart of some of northern Chile's most spectacular scenery, like salt flat, lagoon with flamingos, Moon Valley, geysers, always at the back the imposing Andean mountains
San Pedro it's little more than a handful of picturesque adobe streets very well preserved
Each house must be keep in perfect conditions, the walls must be made of rocks at the basement and then of bricks and adobe to keep ambiance safe for tourist reasons, each year repairs must be done in order to show quite a tide and clean architecture
Taxes are high, so most of the workers live next to San Pedro in ugly modern cement houses
I was walking in a sunny morning when I saw some workers doing repairs, near them quite interested in the pushcart was the little girl, waiting for her father to go to school

Hi Maria. This is a sweet photo- she is like a little flower surrounded by the earth of her forefathers. She seems to be studying the earth inside- maybe she saw a worm or some other little creature.A future microbiologist? She has the concentration! Best regards. Klaudio.

Great example of taking advantage of the opportunity as it presented itself. A rather unassuming moment has actually produced a very pleasing image of this little girl going about her daily life, simply waiting for her father and finding a way to be curiously entertained at the same time. :) It would appear as if she did not notice you, which makes this all the more candid and true to form. Compliments on the observation and quick reactions to obtain this shot. Hope we also get to see some of the streets you mentioned. :) Enjoy the weekend. Take care.
You can always comment on Paris, that will never be a problem. :)

Great observation and Interesting how you have brought this old dusty scene to good life with that pop up sweet little angel there at the appropriate time and placement and thk too to your useful infor notes to make us understand better about this place. The ambient is well reflected here, eg the grittiness of the dusty wall and the pavement that look unique but intriguing enough. The warm tones play a greater part along with the shadow play to render that extra dimension with a nice rustic feel full of charm look to it. Its a great way to make a successful shot like this and thks to your sharp observation and timely shot, Congrats.

I never been in Chile, a destination on my travel wish list. I like this excellent photo. The arrangement with simple content is outstanding. You have placed both, the little girl and the push-card, nicely off-centre, creating good balance and harmony. The overall color & light contrast is very good. Wish you a very nice weekend. Greetings, Miro

Curious little kid, with a fantastic face expression that show great interest of what goe's around, Maria.
Your perspective placed her in excelent contrast to the light-brown stones bnuilt wall. The tree's shadow decorated well the whole scene.
Buen fin de semana,
*** The reasom for the tilt in my pic., was to include as much as possible of the fall, and not "just" another waterfall picture. Thanks.

I like very much your framing and how close this picture takes us to a small moment in the little girl's daily life, a moment in which not the action but her thoughts are important. There's great sharpness on the girl and the object, the light and the chromatic harmony are well rendered and pleasing. The shadows make the background more interesting with their patterns, contrast and dynamism. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

Thanks for your interesting note! So much work obviously goes into keeping this beautiful houses so well. The shot is great, as is your timing, it looks like the little girl may herself have an interest in helping keep this place so beautiful! Her school books even look a little like plans or drawings. Perhaps she is the boss and is making sure everything is being done as it should be :)
All the best

A nice and uncomplicated snapshot from the street. The cute girl catches my interest as she examines the pushcart. All colours match each others quite well and the invisible trees cast fine shadows on the wall. The light has been very well handled.

She probably evaluates the risks of playing in mud before going to school!
An intense dilemma indeed!
She adds ingenuousness to the monochrome adobe environment.

beautiful capture. The surrounding seems so rough and the girls brings in so much warmth and color. Great strong light which made the colors so vivid.
Very well seen and captured,
