Photographer’s Note

The church at Parinacota in Parque National Lauca. Built in the 17th century in the form of a central nave with two side chapels.

Parinacota is a small hamlet 46 kilometers east of Putre. A hike up to nearby Cerro Guane Guane is very worthwile, probably especially in the late afternoon, when the sun sets in the west casting its light on the volcanoes Parinacota and Pomerape on which you'll have an excellent view. The winds tend to get really strong in the afternoon though, so be prepared.

Hi Thorsten,
Very smart composition with vivid and beautiful colours. A good quality photo. I like the natural framing with the portal.
I might have tried to have a lower POV so including more sky and less ground.
