Photographer’s Note
A lonely tree in the middle of Atacama Desert. This was one of the landmarks that we were supposed to found while driving in order to reach the Cejar and Tebenchinque lagoons in the middle of the salt lake.
In fact, we met one Dutch guy driving alone, completely lost. Together we found the lagoons (coming in future posts).

Hola Jorge,
Quite lush for a desert tree! And picturesque also, with the backdrop of that aridness and the amazingly blue sky. The centred compo is quite appropriate for the perfectly round shape of the tree.

Such a large tree for such an inhospitable region. Most of the trees in our SW deserts are thin and wispy. There must be a consistent source of water just below the surface. Technically everything is spot on. Well done!
