Photographer’s Note

I will rewind a little bit back in time from the wilderness of Aisen to Chiloe Island.
This is a photo of a baker standing proudly outside his bakery in Achao of Chiloe Island.

Why the title: In latin American countries it is a common insult to say to someone that their father was the milkman (lechero) or the breadman (panadero). This is because traditionally, the milkman and the breadman delivered their goods directly to people’s homes while the husbands were off to work.

J'aime la façon dont cette photo a été cadrée décentrée avec le regard du pesonnage tourné vers le centre de même que la netteté et la clareté de cette photo.Bien fait!

la photo est très chouette. une belle ambiance entre décontraction et fierté. j'aime bcp les jeux de reflets dans la vitrine aux couleurs chaudes (comme le pain)

Tout simplement très beau. J'adore vraiment les teitnes de cette photos, qui en donne une image très paisible et calme.
Le mec appuyer à la porte, le regard vers le centre, les jeu de ligne de l'architecture, les reflets....vraiment une belle prise.
je sais pas trop quoi te dire de eplus...mais moi j'accroche !

An intereresting expression on the man's face. The guy is very well positioned in the picture and the lack of other attractive things around only enphasizes his attitude.

Hi Daniel,

I see you went for tranquility. Sort of a similar thing to a photo I did called Chelsea Morning where I showed the quiet moments of morning in Chelsea, NYC. I like it. I think that such photos dont always score big on TE but they are worth showing neverthless.

...and to think that the postman always knocks twice! Well an interesting population and genetic theory - who knows!! A nice image but now I am seriously worried and bemused by where his hands might be - is he on the verge of an advertising campaign!!? ~Has he spotted his next conquest!?

Oh well maybe I am taking your note too literally but I'm afraid the humour rules for me!!! Very funny - oh dear I wish he'd put his hands somewhere else in the image and quickly!!

..and in UK the milkman still does that job (though thatn in the past), and we also have that joke, (used more in a cheeky jokey way than an insult). There's even a Monty Python sketch about it.

Nice daily life shot of him, and he seems not to have noticed you.

Hola Daniel.
Creo que el gran acierto de la foto es saber inmortalizar con cierto estética una escena de lo más cotidiana y vulgar. Es dar interés a lo que es un simple panadero esperando a no se sabe qué en la puerta de su negocio.
Creo que es una de las fotos que ganan con el paso del tiempo.

Esta imagen me parece bastante interesante, tiene un buen encuadre y unas luces bellas, la pose del chico en un lateral y los reflejos del cristal aportan fuerza a esta toma, felicidades.
