After 3 rainny days I waked up happy cause I had a Sunday morning shining in the sun. I took a rural bus and went to Huerquehue National Park. It is located in the Andes mountains, not so far from Pucon city. I had plans to see Chilenian araucarias in their natural landscape and I arrived early in the morning. It was cold, but not so much. I walk at side of a blue lake and I know about marvelous lakes located in the top of the mountains. I became to walk and climb, crossing the forest absolutelly alone, I couldn't hear any animal. It was a muddy ground and it was difficult to find the right way, after some time I found the ground covered with smelty snow. Anyway I climb the mountain, and crossed that forest that in some areas was like that ones in my homeland in Brazil. I knew 2 big cascades and arrived in a place where the snow closed my way so strongly that I was obligated to come back. I wanted to see that araucarias but they were far, in the top, and even the zoom of my camera didn't get so much of them. It was frustrating for me cause I wanted it so much. Next time I will get. This image is only a glimpse of a dream. How you know there are an especie of araucaria in southern-Brazil (you can see them in my page on TE) and there are other in Andes Mountains, they are relatives and similars in many ways.

Depois de três dias chuvosos fiquei feliz ao ver a manhã ensolarada de Domingo que aparecia sobre a região. Tomei um ônibus rural e fui para o Parque Nacional Huerquehue, localizado nos Andes, não longe de Pucon. Fazia frio, mas não muito. Caminhei ao lado de um grande lago azul e subi para a parte alta do parque, onde havia araucárias chilenas e dois lagos maravilhosos no topo das montanhas. Estava absolutamente só dentro da floresta, que me fazia lembrar as matas daqui, do norte do Paraná. Não ouvia sequer ruídos de animais. O terreno estava úmido e lamacento, a subida era forte e fui encontrando pedaços de neve derretida pelo caminho. Fui em frente e conheci duas belas cascatas e, ao fim, me deparei com uma grande quantidade de neve sobre o solo, algo que me bloqueou o caminho, não pude seguir adiante e fui obrigado a retroceder, algo que me custou muito a fazer já que queria muito conhecer aquela área mais alta do parque, ver as araucárias em seu ambiente natural.
Esta foto é o máximo que o zoom da minha câmera conseguiu captar.É apenas um relance de um sonho que eu ainda não pude realizar. Como vocês devem saber existe uma espécie de araucária no sul do Brasil (vocês podem vê-las em minha página) e outra nos Andes, as duas espécies tem muita coisa em comum, são aparentadas.
