In 2005, I finally went for the first time to Chile!
I deeply fell in love with that wonderful Country! From its central area - where the Capital City is - SANTIAGO - I also went down to the "Región de los Lagos Andinos Chilenos"/"Chilean and Andean Lakes Region" - a wonderful mountaineous area with many volcanoes and lakes!
Here I was staying in PUCÓN and this is the VILLARRICA LAKE! After a whole day of skiing (on the slopes located on the VILLARRICA VOLCANO), I had to go to this lakeshore to see the sunset, because I was told it was one of the most beautiful around! I agree with who told me that!

After yesterday's earthquake, again, we all must pray for the recovery of that Country - another one hit by a natural tragedy!

Hello Ney,
A serene and calming image and a fine tribute to the people of Chile. I like how the birds are spread out in a diagonal across the frame and how the tone gradually changes from top to bottom of the composition. Good use of the vertical.

Good Morning Neyvan,

There is something so romantic, so calming, about unsets. The warm amber colours, radiating from the sun are nicely tempered by the silhouetted hill.
I love the perched birds in the f/g, they really set the scene to this beautifully composed shot.

This is as a stark contrast to the earthquake!
Like you, I hope the loss of life and devastation is minimal.

É uma boa ideia de recordar que o Chile é um magnífico país. É uma maneira de ajudar aos reparar do terrível tremor de terra recente. A gestão da exposição é excelente. Cora e os pássaros acrescenta ao romantismo da imagem. Bravo.

Sunset pictures can be quite attractive, but in principle I think there are almost too many of them already on TE. But this one is fully acceptable, it has a lot of compositional details, like the diagonal line of birds and the foreground reed. A very pleasant capture

uma bonita imagem essa mesmo, e confortante para os chilenos depois dos últimos fatos ocorridos. Difícil é saber o que é pior, a calmaria natural que o Brasil tem, mas em compensação uma classe política pior que qualquer terremoto.

Também postei ontem uma foto em homenagem ao povo chileno, que passa por tantas dificuldades diante desta grande catástrofe. Com a bravura deles, logo vão se recuperar, se Deus quiser. Magnífico por-do-sol, cores espetaculares, adorei os pássaros sobre as estacas.

bonita vista , gostod as cores e do grafismo da cena. muito romântica a vista, belo cenário. quando lá fui estava nublado e chuvoso. não conheci santiago e concepcion ainda, mas a gente sabe como é perigoso morar no chile em qualquer parte. uma pena uma tragédia destas, mas eles já se safaram de outras

Hello Ney, A very beautiful image, with excellent contrast between the warm colours of the setting sun & cool colours of the calm waters, the birds, especially those standing on the poles are like the cherry on the cake. Well composed & captured & very well presented. Interesting the WS shots, the two images & wide view, I think here you have made excellent use of the vertical format. Good tribute to the people of Chile. Thank you

A splendid sunset picture with a good composition, and with an interesting foreground as well as the horizon.
I really like those birds on top of the thin poles.
