This picture speaks for itself. Many walls and houses are decorated with both artistic and politically graffiti in Valparaiso, many of them are real artworks in my opinion. Most of them stays untouched of other artist and they are normally signed by the artist.
Valparaiso is also protected as a UNESCO World heritage site, by the way ( but probably not because of the graffiti:) )

This is a great scene! Beside the amazing colors, that man is sitting in the perfect spot to bring a bit of human presence to the photo. I really like those stairs, and the mural is very interesting, too. There seem to be some strange animals on it. :-) You have captured and presented this scene very nicely.

The colorful graffiti is an extremely eye catching element of this scene. Like it! Funny motives made it original and so nice. Well done.

Good morning Boa,
nice the view of the colourful graffiti on the wall, with the man to sit on the vertical point between the painted wall and the graffiti. The brilliant light enhance the vivid colours as the clarity of the scene.

Even from thumbnail I knew it must be Valparaiso. Usually I do not graffiti but in Valparaiso it is art gallery under the sky. beautiful painting, also the striped house nearby looks interesting. Very good idea to include a sitting worker.

Detta är ju verkligen mycket välgjord och konstnärlig graffiti. Mannen som sitter bredvid bidrar ju också med färger till bilden. Framför allt så ger han ju en referens till storleken på konstverket på väggen bakom.

Indeed, a very colourful district of Valparaiso.
It really looks like that man is a part of the murals.
If he would not sit there, from your POV the coloured steps would be less recognizable as a staircase. Certainly not the upper part.
Best regards, Paul

Some regard graffiti as art, and on some culture's is mainly an young generation's rebellion expression done on the outskirts on towns. The truth is always somewhere in the middle.
Vivid and well lit colors, with the presence of the working man taking a rest - but added life to the scene.
Charming. Well collected.

The graffiti is colourful and great fun but what I like the most is the way that you have included the man sitting on the step with the bright orange jacket. He seems part of the street art! Very well seen and taken.
Kind Regards, Ann

I'm not really a fan of graffiti, probably because I have seen indiscriminate painting done to fine buildings. I can be convinced that there is a place for it, when it livens up concrete walls.
You have captured this graffiti with excellent sharpness and I just love the fact that you have been able to include a figure in such a strong place in the frame. I particularly like the style of the animals. It is very definitely not European; it has its own cultural vibrancy.
Great to hear from you on your many journeys.
Have a great w/e,

a great urban scenery, invigorating and challenging for eyes and mind. I like very much how the gentleman is integrated in this setting that surely gives a special mood and meaning to every scene taking place with it as backdrop. How many stories and heroes one can find (and use:) in a place like this! Your simple, well balanced composition enchants with the colours and graffiti art it presents. You managed the strong light very aptly and the "real" hero stands out intriguingly. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

Splendid colorful composition. Well seen, I like it!

Colorful shot. South Americans are the people that is not afraid of using colors, This is one of the examples, and I have seen many photos from Columbia and I have it myself in Argentina at La Boca. they use lots of colors to paint their community.
Excellent shot, the presence of the main adds a nice human element and liveliness to the scene and enhances the composition.
