Photographer’s Note
In the center of this foto you can see Pisco Elqui,a small village with about 400 inhabitants. It`s about 120 kilometers east of La Serena.
Some travellers I met on the bus told me it`s worth to go there. And in deed it is .Usally I wanted to stay one or two nights ,but maybe because I had a verry friendly homestay I stayed 5 nights.
After two month traveling through Peru and Bolivia this area was a good place to relax for some days.
This area is famous for it`s grapes, from which the Pisco ,Chiles national spirits is produced. In Pisco Elqui you can visit a distillery.
This valley is about 100 kilometers away from Chiles big observarories.
What I enjoyed most there was the quietness and this fantastic blue skye which I have never seen before.
But,sorry not so perfect on my foto.
I`ll post some more fotos of this beautifull area.
