Photographer’s Note

I have not seen any picture in TE of the entire region where I am from. Thus, it is my duty to post some shots to share with the TE community.
This is Pingueral, 40 km north of Concepción, which is the capital of the Bio-Bio Region. Although Pingueral is used mainly as summer holiday resort, some few families (including my parents) have decided to reside permanently here, despite the relative isolation.
The place is nice, but do not be fooled by the picture, the water, even in summer, is very cold. This is due to the Humboldt’s current coming from the Antarctic, which cools down the whole coast of Chile.

You can see the POV in Google Earth at 36°31’50”S ; 72°56’12”

More pictures of this “underrated” region of Chile in the future.
