Italia Building reflected Photo

Photographer’s Note

The 168-metre high Italia building was built in 1956 and named after the Italian immigrants that helped construct it. For a long time it was the highest building in São Paulo, but has now been overtaken by other fast-growing buildings in the financial area of the metropolis. Visitors can take a lift to the bar on the top floor and enjoy the impressive view of the city over a drink.

In this picture, you can see the top of the building reflected at another, at Rebublic's Square.

Olá Carmen,
Ficou ótima a foto, tanto a concepção quanto sua realização. Como lançar um olhar novo sobre um prédio já tão conhecido? Abordagens possíveis incluem se utilizar de reflexos, primeiros planos, momentos de luz ou fenômenos atmosféricos diferentes, etc. Conseguiu apresentar o prédio de um ângulo interessante, em um jogo geométrico entre, de um lado, ladrilhos de vidro, onde se reflete a silhueta branca do prédio contra um céu impecavelmente azul, e, do outro, os dois postes de luz parelhos, bem no terço direito, tudo em uma composição duocromática: azul e escala de cinza. Muito interessante mesmo.
