This is another view of Morro dos Perdidos.

There are frequent research projects on the flora and the rocky formation. The hill is also used for cell phone transmission towers and that's the bad part, since the top of the hill is visually polluted. To get access to it, you need to enter a private area and pay R$ 5,00 (USD 3) to the owner, a small farmer. It sounds fair.

Tech note: this is an example of how the maximum effect of a polarizer may damage the sky.

Bom dia Carlos!

hello Carlos,
I have a heavy bias in favour of the polarisers, and I do like the saturated sky here, as far I'm concerned it adds drama to the scene and increases contrast with the golden green mountains in the foreground. love the depth here, everything feels so fresh. superb level of detail in the foreground, this is a great shot.

with best regards,
Kristine

p.s. I've noticed that different polarisers work a little different, I guess it's the quality of the glass. for the lens I use most I bought Nikon "slim" polarizer, which is about half as thick as the Hoya, and although I might be wrong, I think that Nikon offers a better clarity.

Hi Carlos, good one, colorful, with excellent timing, good quality and a great POV.
thanks, ciao

Hi Carlos,
A new no: 100, not many of us can say that ;-) Pity the last one was withdrawn.
Strong colours in front, but a terrible hazy sky, but you already know that.
The 18-55 is not the best lens to put a good pola filter on, that lens is soft like a tisue, good glass will give you much more....but also that you already know ;-)

hola Carlos
there is an incredible depth in this photo,it's really nice to see so far, your POV was really gret!I love the texture of the grasses on the foreground and their superb golden colours makes a magnificent contrast with the blue sky!I don't think this one is much damaged, and its blue tone is very beautiful,as the two colours blue and yellox fit very well together!I like very much!

Hello Carlos. Lost indeed and how I'd like to be lost in this dreamy landscape too. Excellent foreground clarity and contrast capturing the misty backdrop and the brilliant sky with thin cloud. I like it and thanks for sharing. Jusni

Hi Carlos,
I'm presently using a standard Canon 400D, 18-55mm with BW polarizer, often to the max, and my skies, WHEN CLEAR, don't get damaged, not at all. Nor I can detect any polarizer-caused damage in this shot of yours, for that matter. You had tricky sidelight, which you managed exceedingly well, and the Hoya helped to dim the overexposure in those clouds. The haze, as far as I can see, is actually what "sort of" screws up things in here, but I doubt you would've been able to get a better sky overall quality without polarizer.
I think you did the best you could under the circumstances (yes, those Canon 18-55 lenses are SOFT!) and presented us with a fine picture. The view is awesome, so is the framing and so are colors.
Cheers,
Fulvio.

ps. 100? CONGRATULATIONS!

Carlos,
Wow, amazing tones in this landscape !
I like a lot this choice for vertical format, and the depth you caught is superb.
Regards,
JB.

Ola Carlos,
you used a very very good angle to capture it, the frame works very good, the lightness is fantastic.
Best wishes.

for a month I can only comment.

Hi Carlos,
there are fantastic colours in your shot, slowly changing with the rising distance, the view is fantastic - worth paying for :-), the sky spoiled - what about to cut off a bit of it?
Best regards

Oi amigo ,

Carlos,
voce ta comecando a ficar exigente demais.
Peter

Awesome view, and in an excellent light that brings up the tones beautifully.
tfs,
CT

Hi Carlos,

Hey Carols, many congrats on your 100th post. Here I love the light and those warm colors. great composition, but that sky isn't at its best, just too much difference from left to right - I have problems with this constantly.

ola carlos

quite a whoo-hooo sight! :) love what you've done with light and color here. pure gold in the foreground, 18 karats, for sure ;) about the polarizer: i disagree, this is definitely not the worst case scenario in terms of damaging the sky. i actually like the extra touch of saturation in the sky.

warm regards,
kristaps

now, this one looks rural to me!

Oi Carlos,

hello Carlos

In Malaysia, it is very difficult to find this color gradient of gold and yellow. We have green layers, and our hills and mountains are almos covered by dense forest and tall trees.

You have captured this pov with a good view across the mountain range and giving it a soft mood.

Paciência, eu teria feito rigorosamente a mesma opção.

Hello Carlos,
The is a lovely presentation with the golden tones and sharp details of the grass and hills in the foreground portrayng a painterly feeling. The depth of the distance is great. You mentioned the overuse of a polarizer damaging the sky. You sky looks good, but a polarizer can damage the sky. This happened to me, Abu Simbol, when my sky turned much too dark. Your picture is excellent, as usual!
Warm wishes,
Betty

Hello Carlos,

Interesting capture of what seems like an endless view of rolling hills!
A well balanced composition, and the foreground creates a fine sense of depth in the frame...
Attractive colours and lovely details in the vegetation, all topped by the blue sky!
