Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge 02 - SE-NW, first arch
This audacious and awarded bridge over Paranoá Lake was inaugurated on Dec. 15th, 2002, in Brasília. The project impresses by its functionality and monumental architecture, a hallmark of the Brazilian engineering. With three archs inspired by the movement of a bouncing stone thrown across the surface of a lake, the work is integrated into the architectural vision of Brasília, allying beauty and innovation. The chosen structural form is composed of three archs that prop, by the means of steel stays, the three segments with a span of 240m each. The fact that the archs fit the piers diagonally has generated tridimensional tensions on the foundation, which amounted to the necessity of digging deep into the most stable layers of the heterogeneous soil of Brasília and also building a large foundation. The bridge is an accomplishment of the architect Alexandre Chan, with engineering conducted by Via Dragados and José Celso Contigo.

excellent, sharp and dynamic shot!
Great mobement and dynamics.
I love the shape of the bridge and the color stripes from the passing bus. The blens so good together.
Great composition and leading of the eye.
Great framing and exposure, I love those stars from the lights. The blur of red lights looks like the tail lights of cars, but so far off the ground makes me wonder what that is?

Belíssima foto, a luz está perfeita e o corte da imagem faz das formas algo um tanto abstrato
parabéns
Jorge

Hi Victor,
sorry, me again. I just have to compliment this one too. Such a great dynamics and colour work. I love the bridge comming from one point, it feels like of great speed because of the blured traces of lights. Again superb composition.
Kind regards,
Jeri
