"Toldi" waterfalls Photo

Photographer’s Note

São Bento do Sapucaí is a Brazilian town in São Paulo state.
Once known as a religious and traditional town, the municipality of São Bento do Sapucaí, now with its population reaching 10,000 inhabitants, is known for its mild weather, beautiful landscapes, and great conditions for the practice of many action sports.
Located 164 km northeast of São Paulo, on a mountain chain called Serra da Mantiqueira, it has a total area of 251.2 km². The topography is very mountanious. There are many hills and waterfalls (the highest being "Toldi" waterfall with more than 200 m). The city's average altitude is 886 meters, and the highest peak is a rock compound known as "Pedra do Baú" at 2,304 m meters high ( 340 m high with an altitude of 1,964 m).

At the picture, just 2 small waterfalls at the end of high Toldi Waterfall.

Carmem this place is beautiful. The lush vegetation and fresh waterfalls create such a typical tropical scene. You captured this place very well under good light. Colours and sharpness are excellent. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Carmem,
A harmonious & very peaceful spot you found here. Colors are realistically represented. Excellent exposure & DOF to make everything sufficiently focus. Nice effect on the falling water from the slow shutter & not too slow as to make the water too silky & soft - I mean I prefer it just like this capture. The terrace & stones on the right provide good balance & depth to this well composed shot. Is that bamboo branches on top right? Regards. Latiff.

Un petit chef d'oeuvre, Carmem!La composition est excellente, le temps de pose juducieusement choisi pour restituer le mouvement de l'eau et le PP(HDR) parfaitement réalisé. Superbes couleurs.

Carmen, estou boqui-aberto ...! Uma beleza so de imagem e o uso de HDR realmente deu o efeito necessario para o sucesso desta imagem. O efeito borrado da agua ficoubeleza pura. Esta imagem transpira natureza fresca e poderia ser usada para qualquer tipo de propaganda para pasta de dente, sabonete, desodorante, etc.
Conheco a regiao mais ou menos e deu ate um tempinho para subir na Pedra do Bau. A vista de la de cima e fantastica.

quanto tempo!!!!
Linda "clássica" de mostrar a água ecorrendo de maneira "espumante". Pensei que tinha usado um filtro de densidade neutra para baixar a velocidade da câmera, mas você se deu bem com o PL.
Linda foto... composição... cores... contraste, enfim todo os "settings".

Olá Carmem, quanto tempo não a vejo por aqui. Voltou com uma linda foto. Gosto dos tons variados de verde e a excelente luz do obtida no local. Gostei do efeito de véu, mas intenso na cachoeira de fundo.

Existem aqui zonas muito parecidas essa, com cascatas a escorregar pelo meio das pedras e da flora existente. É fantástico o efeito da água ao descer as rochas...
