Miragem de Carnaval

This is the staging area of the Sambodromo in Sampa. The big day of the carnival parade.
Displayed here are two cheerful Mancha Verde members, getting ready to perform on the Avenue. A very successful performance: Mancha Verde won the first prize in its category.

Nothing more to say really, about this picture. It speaks for it self and for me kind of plugs you straight into the fun and magic of the carnival phenomenon :-).

”Miragam de carnaval” is a Caetano Veloso song from the soundtrack of “Tieta do Agreste” (1997) starring Sonia Braga

PCS2 tech: slightly cropped, altered the saturation, contrast, curves and levels for the whole pic and some elements separately, ran Noiseware, USM-ed , added a frame and saved for the web.

U was dicht bij het plezier, want de dames hebben er blijkbaar wel zin in.
Prachtig portret want de dames tonen hun mooie tanden, toch niet om u even schrik aan te jagen Bert! Zeer scherp en mooi van kleur ook!

I can just imagine the nightmare it must be in the chaos of carnival to take worthwhile shots without other people's heads elbows etc. This is a wonderful double portrait that you have achieved despite all the difficulties. You have captured natural smiles from the ladies and the colours are stunning.
