Photographer’s Note
We have since one of the consequences of the indifference with the nature, and of the wild development and without planning, is the drastic reduction of drinking waters in the planet. Perhaps still it has time to prevent that our precious water if becomes a rare and expensive thing. Here in the Amazônia still we have rains and drinking waters in abundance ..... more to continue itself wasting, thus goes to be until when?

Hi Antonio.
It is so beautiful picture; the color and sharpness make the hands look so real. You really have an artist soul.

Hi Antonio!
I already thought 'Lencois Maranhenses', when I saw the thumbnail. Worked in the Amazon, in Manaus for a year myself. Has to be said that Maranhao has little to do with the Amazon and the desertification of that part of Brazil has little to do with reduction in drinking water ;-).
But you are right, it deserves much more attention and so does your picture. Good focus, good depth. A pity you don't submit the photo details - camera, camera settings etc.
Greetings, Dennis

Ola AntonioFine artistic compo in this place you like much, and rightly so with this pinkish sand... good colors and water dropping well frozen in the air, good DOF with the slightly blurred beautiful backgraound and superb reflections in the water..
Well done man!

Hello Antonio,
I've been following you for a while now, and I must say that what I like the most is how you show us different views of Brazil, different from the "standard views". Here, I like the concept you want to bring and how you illustrate it. The view is beautiful and the metaphor is good with the desert and the water as opposites and the hands representing life. Thus the presence of the hands is eseential here.
Congratulations!

Hola Antonio!

hi Antonio,
Thoughtful and evocative image ..
I love the parallel I feel between the arms and the dune .. the stark sand right up against the water amplifies your point in a way ... the droplets are wonderful ..
take care,
John

Hi Antonio.
This feels to me more Indian...
We chant the "manthras" during prayer time at mornings..and this is one way of expression..
GAYATHRI MANTHRA:
This is the prayer addressed to the Sun.
We contemplate the glory of Light illuminating the three worlds: gross, subtle, and causal.
I am that vivifying power, love, radiant illumination, and divine grace of universal intelligence.
We pray for the divine light to illumine our minds.
"Om Bhur Buvaha Suvaha
Thath Savithur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dhiyo Yonaha Prachodayath"
Om: The primeval sound
Bhur: the physical world
Bhuvah: the mental world
Suvah: the celestial, spiritual world
Thath: That; God; transcendental Paramatma
Savithur: the Sun, Creator, Preserver
Varenyam: most adorable, enchanting
Bhargo: luster, effulgence
Devasya: resplendent,supreme Lord
Dheemahi: we meditate upon
Dhiyo: the intellect,understanding
Yo: May this light
Nah: our
Prachodayath: enlighten,guide,inspire.
My salutes to you, dear friend, for this divine image for me...and many hearts...
Wishes from India..

I love the symbolism in this shot, it is very powerful in it's composition yet soft in colors. Just as fragile as life is ;)
