Photographer’s Note
Getting to Paranapiacaba is easy. Take a train from São Paulo’s Luz station to Rio Grande da Serra (every 15min; 45min; 60¢), where, if you’re lucky, there’ll be a connecting service continuing the two stops to Paranapiacaba. If there’s no train, take a bus from outside the station, or a taxi (about $5). It´s very near from my hometown Santo André city.

Lovely image of the old train. What a waste of a great engine. Lovely detail in your image. Well captured. TFS.

Hi Adilson,
This train certainly has seen better days, what a shame! Like the composition and POV. Just wondering what it would have looked like in Sepia? Just a thought. TFS :-)

Fantastic old train, nice point of view and it has roused my curiosity - I want to poke around, to open the boiler door and peer inside, to climb into the cab and see what levers still move ...!
Lovely shot

Olá Adilson!
Interessante esse "ferro-velho"! e o melhor é que além da locomotiva, tem um monte de vagão apodrecendo atrás!
Parabéns e Abraço!
