Campos Gerais Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is a view of "Campos Gerais" (General Fields), region situated on the second plateau in southern Brazil. Here you see Paraná state, and we are in the region between Curitiba and Ponta Grossa, a little bit ahead of Tamanduá, the place that I have been captured for TE, also in the "Campos Gerais" region.
This plateau spreads itself to north (São Paulo) and to south (Santa Catarina) Its a beautiful region.

The bird on the tree is the "Sicalis flaveola brasiliensis", named "Canário-da-Terra" here in Brazil. It could be found all around Brazil, except for Amazon region, and it founds a perfect habitat in the "Campos Gerais". The Sicalis flaveola likes to live in the fields, nearby brushes.

your latest photos have really sweeped off the ground underneath my feet ... I am seriously impressed with your results ... only thing I would have considered doing differently while taking this photo would have been to crop the top of the photo a bit and take a bit more of the foreground

Hi Zeca,
Great view of agricultural land. Tree a FG was nice but the canary bird is too small [for appreciating its beauty]. Nice picture.

O pássaro parece que está posando para a foto!
Lugar tranquilo, com os campos extendendo até o infinito, lembra as paisagens do norte de Minas, a região das Gerais! As Minas ficam no sul!

Lindas cores Zeca! Os canarios são sempre lindos! Eu adoro aves, mas tenho uma certa dificuldade de conseguir fotografa-los! Sempre que vejo um está numa árvore com muitas sombras escuras.

Hi Jose,
You are simply unstoppable, underwater or above water, you are one superb photographer. The landscape here is superb and would have been perfect even without the bird but it is that Canario-da-Terra that makes this all the more attractive. Well Done!

great picture, I like the bird on that tree, your POV and framing is nice, the colors are good and so is the scenery in the background, perhaps you have oversharpened the tree because there is a halo on its edge though?

This is a very attractive picture due to its beautiful and well saturated colors, to the good DOF which gives it a lot of relief and to the original composition, and to the very well mabnaged composition (good balance). The informative note is also very interesting!
