Photographer’s Note
In the rain forest there is an area where they have giant trees with giant roots that look like the the "flying buttresses" of the churches in Europe. Though the giant redwoods in California are taller, these trees are a sight to behold. This one on the photo has a width of about 30 feet at the base. The root starts tapering out about 50 feet above the water. Once you look at 3 or 4 of them lined together, you cannot see beyond anymore. Another view is posted in my WorkShop, Giant Roots. It is unfortunate that the tour guide does not know much about this tree. Green algae covers the flood waters of the rain forests bottom floor.

Wow. Interesting shot and instructive notes also. Seeing it I thought it was over a grass field, and not water. It was a pity you couldn't have anything in the picture, like a person or boat, to give us the sense of its dimensions. Nice shot anyway.

tHE ws HELPS US TO IMAGINE THE REAL DIMENSIONS OF THE ROOTS AND THE TREE.
I like the truangular shape and the asmazing gren color of the water.
I also likethe hole at the tree's base, and the excellent light that floods everything in the frame. Nicely done.
