Again from my last year Brazilian trip...

Rio de Janeiro si a wonderful city. One of the originalities of this great town, apart from legendary kidness of cariocas, is that nature is everywhere among the city.

This picture has been taken at dawn, when the sun dissapears behind the Christ of Corcovado that you can see on the right side.

superbe teintes et dégradés sur cette compo. Une belle photo de cette ville. En plus, c'est une photo de circonstance car le 22 avril 1500 (donc il y a 506 ans jour pour jour), le navigateur portugais Pedro Alvares Cabral, parti de Lisbonne le 9 mars, débarque sur une terre qu'il baptisera « Terra da Vera Cruz » (la Terre de la Vraie Croix) et qui prendra plus tard le nom de Brésil.

Really good shot with marvellous hazy light that captures the time of day so well. Dramatic shade on the hills at the left. Thanks for the notes, too. Will have to go there some day.

Hi Christian,
An interesting image of Rio de Janeiro, where we most of all feel the city is there more than actually seeing..!
I love this kind of mood, with fading mountains in the haze... giving such a wonderful feeling of depth!

Ce pov et cette lumière sont superbes. Je n'avais jamais vu cela et je trouve l'ambiance saisissante. Ces petites montagnes qui semblent sortir d'une brume, cette ville qui semble s'enfoncer dans la nuit. L'effet est impressionnant. Bravo et merci.
