Photographer’s Note

This text and image belong to my Travelogue "Seven days in the Amazônia"

The home of many natives of the Amazônia is the edges of the lakes, where the water is cleaner than of the river it has fish sufficiently, and is more sheltered of the wind. The fluvial transport is most common in this region where the few roads that exist, it does not have pavement and is destroyed by the erosion. In the end of the afternoon, a little before rain I got this image of an inhabitant of these communities coming back toward house.

O lar de muitos nativos da Amazônia são as margens dos lagos, onde a água é mais limpa que a do rio tem bastante peixe, e fica mais abrigado do vento. O transporte fluvial é o mais comum nesta região onde as poucas estradas que existem, não tem pavimentação e estão destruídas pela erosão. No final da tarde, um pouco antes da chuva obtive esta imagem de um habitante dessas comunidades voltando para casa.

Antonio,
The position of the boat, the slightly overcast of the sky, the color of the water, and the green of the vegetation, and the depth of the image combined make this a very good explanatory photo of this lake and surrounding peoples. I also believe that there are too many lakes and rivers that should not have motorized transportation along or in the waters. Erosion is the main concern as it is here in the Amazan.

(encore) une compo excellente avec ce bateau pris de 3/4 et ce rendu de l'eau qui l'apparente à de la peinture. J'aime beaucoup ces teintes et la lumière est vraiment belle

I particularly like your sky here... the lovely warm light, low clouds and stunning detail.
The image could do with a slight rotation to ensure that the horizon is level.

A marvellous shot. The direction of the boat leads us nicely into the picture. Love the highlighted ripples in the water and of course the colours of the sky are superb.

Great pic! Water ripples extremely well captured, good reflection. Nice placement of boat bottom right and the background is superb- ie the great sky. Perhaps slightly titled apart from that it's flawless to me :) Good job friend.

Very peaceful atmosphere in this shot, calm before storm, i like too the diagonal direction of the boat with nice reflects on water. Also,beautiful colors in clouds.

Tenho andado com pouco tempo para o TE...
Esta fotografia está simplesmente fantástica, pela luminosidade especial que é capturada. As linhas horizontais criadas pelo jogo de reflexos na superfície da água são fabulosas e a atmosfera pesada resultante do 'antes da chuva' é incrível. Muitos parabéns!

Hi Antonio,

The composition with boat, I think, is great here. I like the warm colors and nice light on this photo. The sky with grey clouds looks very interesting in contrast with sun lighted water of the river and boat. Very good shot, BRAVO!
