Photographer’s Note
Paraty is a picturesque colonial town 3-4 hours drive down the coast from Rio de Janeiro. Still a fishing village, it is now also a tourist destination and a popular location for second homes. But it remains pretty sleepy, as this shot attests.

Serwus Ken !
Absolutely marvellous pov. Maybe lazy, but some action is also noticeable. Lovely architecture, very well shown.
Be well,

Hi Ken,
The dog does it all. And in combination with the street patterns you got a lot of depth in the image. Good framing also.
Really nice..!!

I like the POV and the composition with this dog sleeping. Beautifull colors and light.
This frame is not usual and very well done

Fantastic shot Ken! Being a dog lover I'm a sucker for this one. Very well executed, with the great textured street, the man walking toward us, and of course the dog laying there. You are the master of these slice of life shots. Great work!

Hello Ken
Beautiful image. The whole laziness express in this lying dog. Nice stones in a street. I like it.

Hi Ken,
A well composed shot with good clarity, balance and depth. The dog is perfectly positioned and all the details of the building and stonework on the ground are clearly seen. This is a great use of the vertical format. Well captured, Ken.

Great POV, composition and timing, Ken. Good sharpness and use of the deep DOF. With cobblestones like those, I don't suppose anybody in that village would be hurrying around. Cheers . . . David

haha... surprizing, I feel like looking to the sibling of my photo of a burmese dog waiting for the bus, I recently uploaded and that you commented (thanks btw).
It works exactly the same way : dog as a foreground character, lines and shapes separating it from some people in the background, muted watercolor wall paintings to complement the whole.
I think I know what you were looking for when you got this one... ;)

Hi ken I really like your composition! What lens you used? A wide-angle?
Well done!

Dog Day Afternoon. Like the subject of your latest photo, Ken, this guy seems to have mastered the (not so) difficult art of doing nothing at all. Good perspective and the figure in the backround adds some movement. Nice one.
