Mooie foto An, en dit voor een nieuwkomer op TE.
Schitterende expressie en mooie scherptediepte.
Ook een leuk verhaal bij de foto.
Welkom op TE.

Hoi An
Welkom op TE. Een interessante eerste foto met een dramatisch verhaal. Misschien moet je de vrouw iets minder centraal plaatsen, dan wordt het beeld nog sprekender.
Heel veel succes, plezier en inspiratie op TE.

Life is tough in 90 per 100 of the countries ans specially in all America Latina whose veins are bleeding for centuaries ...Salvador is such a wonderful place and it drives me to Caetano, Joâo Gilberto , Maria Bethánia and many ...And yes it is a constant in the trips , watching the foreigner traveller as a dollar with legs ...i think giving some brazilian reais coins is not the solution ...The picture is so good and it is sad the police goes to these people and not to the others who burn and deforest woods ...

She mightn't have been delighted, but you definitely captured her expression well. A very vivid and real portrait of life in those parts. Good one!

An, this is a great but disturbing shot that could have been taken almost anywhere outside countries from the "G8". I believe that the gap between rich and poor is growing in most countries and not shrinking. It's moments like these that make me feel incredibly lucky that I was born into a working class family in England and not a working class family in Brazil. Well done, Paul.

Excelent capture, An. That´s Brazil on each corner...unfortunately.
Nice sharpness and details. Good colours!
Greetings from Brazil!

Yes, everywhere I meet people who want and want from me. Life is hard in much of the world, but before tv did not show them the difference, and most were content with what they had. Fantastic photo of life!

Awesome shot An!
This makes me think alot, her expression tells a lot of suffering... but in some countries (like mine, for example) beggary is just another business and beggars sometimes are just employees of a bigger network.
Not saying this lady is part of that, but as someone said, giving them money only makes them stay in the streets begging.
Back to your picture, yes, it's soooo powerful and heart moving. It really moves!
Your DOF is perfect, maybe only wishing her hand was in focus as her body, but it's a great one. I am adding it to my favorites.
Thanks for sharing!

This image says so much An. From the background i guess the place is Pelourinho. From the sun on her wrinkled face guess it's 12 13 o'clock. So a touristy place at lunch. She seems to see you as someone exactly the oposite of what she herself represents in the picture.
