Photographer's Note
That photo was taken from the Corcovado at sunset, with view to the bay (Botafogo area), with Sugar Loaf. I was pretty surprised with the result, so I posted.
I am still learning how to operate my camera. I have no experience taking photos or so ever. I was just playing around with exposure (no flash). Trying to understand how it works. No tripod was used. I can't remember the shutter speed.
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did (I'm pretty proud of it).

A luz (ou a falta de luz, né?) deu uma atmosfera azulada à paisagem. Uma foto digna de cartão postal

And you really shall be proud of that, Bruno . Welcome to TE, and this is a wonderful start at it. I'm surprised that you didn't use a tripod, because is so hard to get night shot without holding the camera in a still point. The viewpoint is great (in fact, Rio gets beautyfull in almost every angle, isn't it?) Keep posting!

really big welcome to TE bruno..!!
be proud..your camera has done you proud..with so many rio shots of the Christ statue, ipanema beach and the vibrancy of brazil, this is a welcome and subdued expression of the quietness of dusk. slight arial persepectives add to an otherwise non interesting background..
thank you for this reminder of the beauty of rio so much so that i now place this shot on my desktop background to remind me of the days my daughter spent there at christchurch.

Siga praticando!

First off, welcome to TE. And of course, my congratulations for this wonderful picture. The blue is very "cool" and your viewpoint makes this picture a treasure. Very good composition too. The islands look like animals.

Este local é sem dúvida, magnífico.
Gosto muito da perspectiva em que o fotografou e das tonalidades.
As luzes dão-lhe um ar muito bonito, e até mágico.
cumprimentos

Welcome to TE, Bruno! Good to see another brazilian photographer here and so much concerned about notes... thanks for that too.
great image. a post card.
you have a great cam but, believe in me, no cam will be more important than your eye, than your sensibility.
You have one of the most beautiful cities in this world, and you have also a splendid architecture/nature to show. and the contrasts. and the social contrasts.
Ooooops! guess i wrote too much.
Congratulations. Looking forward for your shots!
Welcome again!

Well done Bruno - I like the colour of the streetlights, like a river of lava.
If you can't remember the shutter speed, you can find out later on your computer. Look for an option in your editing software to examine the properties of an image (sometimes called EXIF data). Welcome to TE.

Wow! This is magnificent! A beautiful perspective of Rio - so rich in detail and pleasingly composed ... and to think you didn't use a tripod! You are very lucky indeed to have the shot (but it also of course shows that you have a good eye) and should be very proud of this!

You right Jurgen - you should be proud of this - (how could I have overlook this)
The blue colours gives a very moody imager and the read tail lights break its nicely - very fine work indeed.

This is almost TOO perfect! Your mom and I just watched a doc on RIO...nothing shown was half as spectacular as this shot! When I come to Rio next time, ya gotta take me up there!
Missed it last time around.
