Photographer’s Note
Sao Joao Batista Fort was constructed in the year of 1547. The fort was built before the founding of the first city called; Sao Vincente, which considered the first Brazilian municipal. It was constructed by the Portuguese in order to protect themselves from attacks by that of the Tamoios indian tribe.
The fort was re-constructed three years later due to continuing attacks of the indians. Among the founding creators of the fort were the Braga brothers. Among their most important visitors which passed through the fort; were the Francisian missionaries Manoel da Nobrega and Jose de Anchieta. Even the Governor of Brazil, Tome de Souza was here.
In 1710, the fort became a refuge during attacks by the French. The fort is located in the center of the city and beside the Canel de Bertioga. It was dedicated in 1760 in honor of Saint John the Baptist, hence its name translated into english.

Me gusta mucho la perspectiva de la foto. Tambien me gusta su nitidez y el degradez con el que va cambiando el color del cielo.
Felicitaciones!.
