Photographer’s Note
Pipoqueiros ("Popcorn seller") are very popular in Brazil. You can find them in front of movie theathers, or in any public square where you find children playing.
They are for me one of those ethernal figures of brazilian city life. I hope that the progress do not desapear with them and that in the future I can take my children to buy and eat popcorn!

Olá, Joel. Sua foto só falta ter o cheiro da pipoca, que a memória olfativa de qualquer habitante do Rio de Janeiro imediatamente faz aflorar. A cor, o calor da carrocinha, a atenção do pipoqueiro, tudo foi captado com sensibilidade. Parabéns! Miguel.
